The Thing About My New Job

The thing about my new job as a mommy is that it is SO full time. I am considering getting her a onsie that displays her title - "Her Majesty". This would be especially appropriate since her first name means "majestic". But also it works because I am truly her court jester, food taster, personal chef and carriage driver.
While this could be considered terribly boring by most of you, it's actually a great time in my life. Finally there is a person who always thinks I'm very funny (all I have to do is smile and talk in a high pitched voice) and whom I think about more than I think of myself.
Seriously.
Think about that.
It's one hell of an accomplishment.

Just to let you know -- from this time forward you will always be putting yourself second, your wants and needs aren't that important in her eyes and won't be for a looong time. She is THE QUEEN of the house now and you are to come running EVERYTIME she calls. Your life is no longer your own. Welcome to motherhood. The fun is just beginning! I wouldn't change it for anything.
