Holy Holga! Red Alert!

I used to hate this time of year. Numerous times I have written in my journal a little prayer begging God to let me sleep through the holiday season. Too much financial strain, too much pressure to communicate perfectly with people I don't often spend time with, too much commercialism. You know what I mean, right?
But last year the streak of despair was broken. And this year I finally understand how fun it is to have presents bursting from under the tree and food overflowing the table. Not to mention a three day tornado of friends and family gatherings.
PS- I got a Holga and THREE things from the Product RED Campaign!
I'm sure that a little point and shoot plastic camera doesn't seem like a big deal to many of you. But look at these photos that were produced with Holgas and tell me you don't want one.
Yeh. That's what I thought.
And RED? Well, my candle and my shirt and my NEW PHONE (yep, i finally have a phone that won't go dead after 20 minutes) make me feel good inside too because of the portion of those purchases that go to buy much needed anti-retroviral medicine for men, women and children dying of AIDS in Africa.
All that and it was my baby's first Christmas too. (More on that later)

Yay for Product RED! Boo for financial strain.
(Can you believe the bank gets upset when you spend MORE money than your accounts currently holds?? What happened to the season of giving?)
