I Will Still Love You
When the birds no longer sing and creatures cease to roam,
When forests die from neglect and the earth’s no longer home
I will still love you.
When the oceans dry up and the seas are full of dust
When the clouds disappear and the daylight’s all used up
I will still love you.
When the stars cannot burn and fall away like snow
When the ground shakes and crumbles to what, I just don’t know,
I will still love you.
When all great men surrender and the evil bow their heads
When there is no more waiting for right words to be said
I will still love you.
When my body’s still and air no longer fills my lungs
When you lay down to sleep and this life is done
I will still love you.
