Over It
25 · Jul · 2006

I joined myspace a while back, before I had this nifty site. It was fun for a while. New, fresh, exciting. Myspace was my mistress to SG. I am not ashamed to say I was one of the earlier SG members. That was fun too. But alas, both myspace and SG have tarnished, like a fake gold bracelet from Claire's Boutique.
I dropped SG when they became so unselective of thier girls and so vile in their business. But I have fond memories because this is where I met Alex, Yosi, MD, Geoff, Sky, Matt, and Patrick - all of whom are wonderful peeps despite thier lustful ways. (:
And we all went to myspace with high hopes, I think. But, have you ever visited a great spot, maybe a foreign country, where everything was bliss because it felt like your little secret, away from the grime of western civilization; only to go back to that very same place to discover a McDonald's across the street? That is what happened. I feel so used... Myspace is the Walmart of the blogosphere. And SG is a hooker drive through window by corporate minds.
The Topic Boards kept me at SG a couple months longer than I expected. I wonder how long myspace's music pages can hold me.
