She's Onto Us
18 · Jul · 2006

To celebrate my birthday we drove up tp Seaside, CA to see my sister and her family. (say that 3 times fast) The way up wasn't so bad. We drove at night and morning, so August was fooled into believing we might be on our way to IKEA. But on the way back, NINE HOURS driving, she figured out what it meant to be a prisoner of the car pod.
I helped Elmo perform on top of the back seat via drag queen style, in hopes of entertaining her. But eventually she gave me this same look (captured here by my sister in Seaside) as if to say, "I just vomited in my mouth."
No more trips for a while. Ye shall all come to us. Come to us all ye that labor and are heavy laden and we will give you chai. (Thanks, Ali!)
Meanwhile, here's some pictures from our trip:
Uncle Mike teaching Conner how to surf and skimboard - -

MacKenzie before she abandoned August for cotton candy.

We have a thing about fondeling statues....

There would be pics of my brother in law. As soon as I photoshop myself out of the frame.
PS - Thanks for all the birthday well wishes. Best Birthday yet!

Enjoy the "little years". They go by so fast! August is a beautiful girl. MacKenzie looks so much like Alice now! Glad you're enjoying your new daughter.
