I watched The Actor's Studio today with Sir Elton John. The guys in the band look like relics from my childhood. As it turns out, the drummer IS a relic from my childhood.
In my record collection is a 45 inch of Little Bit Of Soap. It's the version by Nigel Olsson. I have no idea why but I LOVE this record and downloaded it a few years back for a CD I made for my brother for Christmas. But recently, I was looking for it again and couldn't find it. Turns out Nigel is drumming for Elton these days. Duh. Nigel! Where can I get a copy of that song for my iPod?
Incidently, Mike and I were walking in our neighborhood this weekend when I spotted this sign:
WTF? This house is on our street, like less than a block away. Never would have guessed.
I don't know why, but this all made me think of a news clip I saw about Rod Stewart the other day. I love Rod, but no, I no longer think he is sexy.
To top off this musical entry, I just saw Angie Aparo on TV with Faith Hill singing Cry.
This guy wrote one of my favorite songs, Spaceship for which I also cannot find a decent download.
Wow. I have time to think about music again. Thank you. It isn't easy.

Yeah, well, the guy who lives in the apartment attached to our house engineers music. Really boring music that drones. I think it's church related, and not the happy kind. Sometimes I hear it and wonder if he thinks of his sanity that often. He sure doesn't think of ours......
