Nashville was voted the best place to live in the country. I used to live there and I think I should tell you that it is one of the best places to live, though not likely THE best. But I think I feel that way because it's the home of Christian music. At the head of this Sell Jesus Machine is a magazine called CCM.
Several years ago some friends of mine were making their 1st appearance on the cover so I was all excited that the writers would actually have good subject matter and be forced to write something worth reading. Feel my disappointment when it came out all We were messed up but we found Jesus and now we are perfect like all the other interviews. I knew these guys and they were, in fact, un-perfect.
So I wrote a letter to the editor of the time, April Hefner. She wrote back.
What followed were a series of emails between us in which she argued with me, a total stranger, about the validity and integrity of her magazine and Christian artists. I finally just didn't answer one of her emails.

Mike and I are thinking of becoming vegitarians. You think we can handle it? I think it will be easier than coming off sugar, which I have never been able to kick. Nick tried to wean me off it in '97 and I remember wanting to punch him when he would hand me coffee without sugar. Mike and I are just wanting to be healthier. Also, have you heard about rotting meat in your intestines?? Eww.

Also, we've recently become addicted to Six Feet Under. I know the series is over, but thanks to Netflix we're now on Season 2. After that it's The Sopranos and then the last 2 seasons of The West Wing. What do I not watch? American Idol. And I never will.

My friend Jeff Hester is getting married! Yay for Jeff and his lovely Jenny. I hope I can go to the wedding, but I'm not sure. Arkansas? Ugh.

Since Mike and I are moving, that means our current digs in Encinitas will be back on the renters market. If you're looking for a nice place by the beach, let me know. For pictures, go HERE. I'll try to remeber to post some of the outside of the place too. It has a nice deck and garden.

I've been catching up on my blog reading lately. I found Miss Piggy Lunchbox which is entertaining.

Mike is LOVING his new job. It's not even a job really it's LIFE AT DIGITARIA.
