Sigh of Relief

31 · Oct · 2006

I finally got into The City on Sunday. Walking around the Village area felt like an angel whispering in my ear, "It's all going to be OK. Relax."

Several years ago when I was first contemplating leaving Nashville for finer sites, more than a few people told me that they could see me living in NYC or Boston. I think it's the cafe life that they know I love. God knows I have never been one to love cold weather. But eventually I went west instead.

I loved California. LOVED it. But after being back in NY, I realize that I never felt the kind of love for it that I have for NYC. Granted, I had been here many times before, but there is something about this city that is more familiar to me. Is that a good adjective? Probably not.

We ate at this French Cafe, Le Gamin. It was all I could do not to break out in song; I was so happy.

After looking at the above photo I decided to buy a new hat and shape my eyebrows. Ick.
We also strolled through what's left of Little Italy.

Rode the best mass transit system ever...

And took this totally hot picture of Mike. Damn, I'm living the good life. (:

Badda-bing! Good to see things are working out so far. Soak it up girl, cuz the weather's going to get nippy. Would love to see you guys in we fly back for the holidays. My favorite season in NYC is fall - the colors, the cute scarves and hats with wool jackets and the need to have a coffee in your hand as you whip thru the city = either to keep you warm or cuz it tastes so damn good.

Miss ya, keep in touch!
Michelle :-)

Wow! East coast living... Be sure to call me in about two months when you are scraping the ice off your windshield with a credit card at 6 am. :) You are missed here in San Diego!

My pumpkin seed brittle failed miserably so you can't be jealous of that anymore. HA! Like you ever were. Someday, Sophia and I are going to visit you and we will all go into the city together and enjoy the day. I miss you, but it looks like I will be seeing you in about 5 or 6 weeks.....

Wow.
